Wemmel, 21 September 2023 – Lieven Van Nuffel has taken up his new position as Business Development Manager at the Smart Edge specialist, Simac PHI DATA. Within the Integrated Solutions division, he will focus on marketing the IDstock® and IDasset® solutions for inventory and asset management. With his extensive experience in the sector and his extensive network, Lieven Van Nuffel is the ideal person to develop this market further.
IDstock® and IDasset® offer significant added value for any organisation. “If companies do not have a good overview of their inventories or assets (equipment), that will not only affect their financial position, but customer satisfaction as well,” says Van Nuffel. “Sufficient stocks for internal production processes or for use when performing interventions at a customer’s site must be available at all times. Only that way can you ensure continuity of operations and complete assignments at customers’ premises on a single visit.”
In many organisations, inventory management is already in place in one way or another, but often, there are still blind spots, for example, because inventory records are only maintained for accounting purposes. “And that is an issue we’re addressing with IDstock®,” says Van Nuffel. “We are offering a full-service solution that not only consists of software, but also provides an ingenious integration of barcode and/or RFID technology to scan inventory using handhelds. What is more, our software has the capability to integrate with the customer’s existing applications.” For organisations that do not yet have a digital inventory system, IDstock® can be used to replace manual processes. IDstock® saves time, reduces errors and stock-outs, and avoids unnecessary orders.
During his career, Lieven Van Nuffel has gained extensive experience in sales within the logistics sector. Outside of work too, Lieven Van Nuffel likes nothing more than getting the full experience. For example, he is an avid collector of vinyl records featuring Techno, House and other electronica music and demonstrates his knowledge of music every Tuesday on Urgent.fm. And when he cooks, he seeks out all the fresh ingredients he needs and enjoys cooking for an entire group of people.
