Wemmel, 20 March 2018 – PHI DATA, the Belgian integrator of automatic identification and localisation solutions, is looking for a strategic partner to help drive the company’s growth ambitions forward. Over the next three years, PHI DATA® aims to achieve turnover of 20 million euro through organic growth, and by focusing on application software and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). The company will thus continue to build on its strong experience in connectivity and data capture. In a second phase of the company’s growth, CEO Guy Couder intends to make targeted acquisitions of smaller players or start-ups in countries bordering Belgium to be able to serve a wider market soon and forge the way ahead to turnover of 30 million euro. He is looking for a strategic shareholder to actively help lead the way.
“PHI DATA has reported strong growth in recent years. We are the largest independent player in the Belgian automatic identification market and we are keen to keep up the pace. I forecast continued growth in the years ahead, but the help of a strategic partner will allow us to step up a gear. I am looking for a partner to become part of the business by making an active contribution, a partner with a strong network to drive growth and scalability and help refocus the company accordingly.”
Guy Couder also expects consolidation within the sector, and is keen to capitalise on this fully. At the same time, PHI DATA® must continue to invest in the latest technologies: “Today, there is no doubt that that means the Industrial Internet of Things and its application in industrial environments. But tomorrow, blockchain and artificial intelligence are really going to ramp up the pace in the production and supply chains.”
That Guy Couder means serious business is demonstrated by the recent management buyout of one of the founders of PHI DATA, thus increasing Couder’s share in the company to 55 per cent and giving him majority control.
At the same time, PHI DATA is advertising a number of vacancies: it is looking for project managers, programmers, sales staff and engineers who are keen to drive the company’s growth ambitions forward.
