Whether we’re talking about barcode labels or integrated RFID tags, the quality of the printing material is essential for a successful solution. The correct choice of the type of printer, consumables and services is therefore of the utmost importance. A good print of a barcode or a correctly programmed RFID tag ensure fast scanning and fewer data errors and therefore contribute to an efficient solution.

In most production environments, it’s essential to be able to work quickly. The use of automatically printed identification labels is therefore a necessity. We implement automatic Print & Apply systems that run in perfect synchronicity with your production stream. As they are fully automatic and highly accurate, you make considerable savings in time and money.

Specific applicator modules efficiently apply the labels, whether rolling, blowing or printing them along all sides of the products or packaging. This is all controlled by labelling software that is tuned to the meet regulations in effect in your specific sector.

It’s important not to underestimate the importance of the warehouse in industrial environments. Raw materials, semi-manufactured products and finished products all spend time there. Reliable warehouse management is crucial for your site to function efficiently.

With IDwms® we supply the Industrial sector with user-friendly software for warehouse management, supported by Auto-ID technology. We fit every ‘carrier’—usually a pallet—and every warehouse location with a unique barcode ID number. This allows you to use mobile terminals to follow up the internal movements of all your goods. You’re able to restock your warehouses in a timely manner, quickly provide your production lines with the right goods and smoothly manage your finished products. The software ensures that barcode labels and other documents are automatically printed. Of course, we integrate the WMS with your underlying systems too. The software also generates every type of report you’ll ever need.

Large amounts of different raw materials are often delivered to production sites at the same time. And there are also high volumes of finished products that are shipped out at once. A passive RFID system is the solution for tracking the sending and receipt of full pallets of goods. As it runs automatically, you don’t have to dedicate staff or the related costs to it. And remember that with RFID, codes do not need to be directly visible.

The solution accelerates receipt and sending; even with the high read rate, the system remains completely reliable. The fully automatic reading system also offers you better insight into the delivery chain. You have a clear idea of all in- and out-going goods for each loading bay, including the exact time at which they arrived or departed.

It’s a challenge to accurately keep track of the location and status of internal transport resources in production environments. Nonetheless, it’s important to know how many items you use, where they are and when they are due for maintenance and servicing.

RFID tags allow you to follow the movements of trolleys in real time. In the factory, we install RFID doors that detect every item and the direction they’re travelling in. You’ll never waste time searching for trolleys again.

Based on certain criteria, it’s possible to trigger warnings that tell you it’s time for maintenance and servicing. When you take a proactive approach to maintenance, you reduce downtime and the number of production interruptions. This solution saves time in other ways: it’s a piece of cake to generate reports on maintenance visits, whether they’re monthly, based on the type of trolley or virtually any other criteria.

Supplying the right transport equipment, at the right time, to possibly hundreds of workplace: it’s a great challenge for today’s process industry. It’s made even more difficult when you need to manage thousands of carriers based on the priority of client orders and the FIFO principle.
